Hope and Smile

When your smile is gone, the light that brightens those eyes also disappear.

In life we all are meant to have life defining encounters at different stages.

For some, their first encounter is a catalyst to every other encounter,

while for others it is quite uneasy to see a pattern.

Which ever way it is, we sure do not stop at those points,

but keep moving, adapting, realigning and redefining.

Achieving a mile stone, or failing at it does not rule out

the chance of having to face more of the future encounters meant to come our ways.

How you respond to those life defining encounters at present,

sure do influence the energy you put into managing the future ones.

Being very old or very young does not translate

to your being able to manage life's encounters perfectly,

or becoming a master at it,

because for you, it may all come in non-similar shades.

But one thing seems similar to everyone in life,

irrespective of the point and time you face those encounters,

when  HOPE is alive in you,

you are able to respond better when those defining encounters comes for you,

even when it looks like you failed.

Having hope alive makes it easier,

to open up to a better you,

learn lessons from your mistakes,

share your experience to help others do it right,

stay and remain positive for the next  encounters to come,

and over all, stay alive with the light of hope shining through you.

RIGHT TO BE LOVED

Your approach to quality of life most times is an indication of how you will perceive what is to be treasured and handled with utmost care. If your disposition towards intangible things of great worth is casual, then there is little or no further expectation as to what your personal values will revolve round.

Every child is special in their own way, they are great treasures for every one that has a deep understanding towards what intangible worth like joy, hope and LOVE really means. Irrespective of the condition around the birth of a child, it is never a justification to be cruel to them.

It is not fair to neglect them even if you work so hard to earn a living to provide for them, neither is it fair enough to lament over every hardship you experience in their presence.  That financial times are so hard on you is not enough reason to deny them the right to be loved like every other children, or made to join the labour force to support you, thereby depriving them of their right to education and healthy life.

Every Child deserve the right to know what LOVE is, learn and thrive in an environment filled with sincere support and care.

ONLY IF SHE HAD KNOWN......

She is out alone on the street,
with a baby to fend for.
She was pushed out of home,
because she got impregnated as a teenage secondary school girl.

She has committed the unimaginable act,
she bent in to pressure from her peers.
she knew nothing about assertiveness and will,
She tried out what her peers refer to as the real deal,
and got trapped in the act.

She tried to ask  her parent about  sex,
but never got an answer.
No one was willing to tell her the needful in her home,
no one told her about risky sexual behaviour and its ugly consequences.

She finally got people to talk to her about the forbidden topic,
her boyfriend , peers and celebrities on social media,
proudly supported by free sex materials flying around her school environment,
she finally succumbed to pressure from peers,
just to get off the list of naive and weak girls.
she got caught up and had an unintended pregnancy.
Only if she had gotten right information from her own home,
she would have escaped making the biggest mistake of her life.
She would have still remained in school to complete her education,
She would have had an intuition of the consequences
and not become a victim,
She would have become an advocate to her peers.
had she gotten it right from the beginning
or had a good foundation on sexual  and reproductive health.
But her only hope now is getting a means of livelihood to sustain herself and baby,
so she can later gather the pieces of her life back,
fulfil her dreams of becoming an advocate
for women right to a better and healthy sexual life.

SUCCESS in Life......

To some ,Success in life is making it and becoming a public figure in their field
To others Success is becoming affluent in terms of assets and money,
To another group, Success to them is operating from a level level higher and having dominion,
To some Success is having age mates , colleagues , older folks work under them as subordinates  and they give out orders
To some Success means getting to a level no one has ever attained in their lineage,
Success to some is getting the right marital partner, a nice home and having the necessity of life, and being independent....the list goes on and on...

But Success is beyond the visible and tangibles ......
Success is impacting lives for God, it is touching peoples live and bringing them to that point where they would not be able to dispute their need for God,
Success is stopping a person from going towards the path of destruction and showing such the pathway to truth and life.
It is living a life of example, that others can emulate,  follow suit and not derail.
It is living out lifestyles that will attract many to the way of truth even when it is not convenient,
It is living a selfless life which would not close her eyes to those that needs help around,
It is living a life that adds value and progress to friendship,
It is making others see the truth in love and not putting them down,
It is seeking the good of others and not their fall,
Success is living with humility before God and man,
It is not getting sad when it seems others are ahead of us ,
It is living a jealous-free life,
Above all SUCCESS is a life lived in total surrender and obedience for GOD and LOVE for humanity.

Life is Beautiful with the Right People

Some people are not meant to stay with you for long
Some are just for a season
Some are just for moments
Some breeze into your life and out so quick
Some are there yet without notice but having underground impact
Some are really there and closer than sisters
Some are just like a thorn in your flesh
For some their presence when they are gone, is irreplaceable
For some their presence and absence makes no difference

Some are there in your life to force you out of your shells
They bring the best and the worst in you
and yet give you reasons to smile
But in all every one that comes in contact with us as we journey through life
Have reasons for ever crossing our paths

Cherish and Value every moment you can with the special people
Learn and be stronger from experiences with the odd people
Be prepared to adjust to every situation
Never drop your weapons on the battle field
Until you finish and win your battles

In all be happy and be hopeful for the best

SAVE THIS GENERATION- put a stop to child labour

TADE is a nine year old young bright kid, with great potentials within  if developed ,but her story is such that she has to hawk fruits  of less than a thousand Naira worth on the road  every day. She was made to become the income earner for the family of seven at such an early stage of her life, she was not even given a chance to dream rather was she given a privilege to paint how her future would be only  if she would be given  education.

Children should be given the rights to enjoy life while growing up, they should be cared for until they grow to the age when they are able to make sound and informed decisions. But it is quite a pity, as such is not the case in  this part of the world, few children had an enjoyable childhood, the impeccable child hood they ever pictured in their minds, very few had access to quality education and good standard of living.

It is quite unfortunate that only a very minute of our young population can actually compete with their cohorts in other countries in terms of reasoning, exposure to technology, research facilities and  high standard of living , the reason for this is not far fetched, it is apparent that these other countries value education more than they value money.

Therefore, if our young people who are supposed to be the vision leaders for this country tomorrow are ever going to fully deliver what is expected of them in many years to come, then there is critical need to act now and to invest heavily in their education now, for a better tomorrow .

There are many children  like Tade  with potentials that if properly nurtured will end up profiting not only themselves as the  carriers but the nation at large, but there is so little that could be done with the lackadaisical attitude the society at large puts to the various forms of child labour.
